Cast iron teasets allow you to brew high quality tea Western Style for friends. They have a large enough capactity to serve groups of people and we tend to bring them out when we have guests. They make a great addition to a dinner setting too.

The set includes:

  • Cast Iron teapot
  • Two Cast Iron teacups (others sold separately - see bottom of this page)
  • Cast Iron teapot stand

The cast iron teaware has an enamel interior which makes the material neutral and maintains the heat in the pot for longer. This will not add any extra minerality to your water like the classic tetsubin water boiling pots. Instead these are designed to brew tea.

All of the pots have a stainless steel filter to hold the leaves for a perfectly filtered brew. The filter is removable to stop the tea leaves from stewing and to save them for more infusions.

The cast iron gives this teaware a luxurious weight and adds sophistication to your tea service. Please be aware that the cast iron can get quite hot so it is best to allow the teware to cool before serving. The enamel interior will insulate the heat from being lost so the tea will stay warmer for longer.

This teaware is more suited to higher temperature teas such as Oolongs, large leaf Black tea and PuErh's. You can brew Greens, Whites and Yellows too but please be extra careful to use lower temperature water as the pot will retain heat and can quickly stew the tea if the temperature is not cool enough (around 80 clesius or 175 farenheit ideally).

Please note that although some people have placed these pots directly on a fire they are not designed for this and we can't guarantee that the enamel inside will not become damaged on direct heat so we would advise not using these pots for this purpose.
