So lucky to have bought this!

The sublme taste of PuErh history - an unforgettable tea to add to your collection.

The Flipped Green Mark is the most expensive tea in my collection and the kind of tea which is near-impossible to find outside of auctions and very specialised tea shops. I only have three cakes. They presumably used to weigh 357g but now they are around 300g.

We will be splitting these into 20g samplers for your chance to taste PuErh history without paying thousands of dollars.

These cakes are estimated to be from the 1970's by my source although they could be from the 1980's. I have spent a lot of time trying to verify the age by examining the wrapper and cake and I think that the dates match up but it is impossible for anyone to date this tea for certain. Below are many pictures for you to do your own forensic research plus some links to auctions of similar aged CNNP cakes.

The wrapper has a very unusual printing error with an upside-down 'Cha' character. I have never seen this before in all of my research in PuErh. There are other printing errors which further makes it an oddity. The font of the ticket is Serif which is unusual for this date but nonetheless, I am confident that this tea harks back to the early decades of Shu PuErh production. I am happy for anyone to contribute any knowledge that they may have about this tea.

All that I can say is that the taste and longevity of this Shu PuErh is remarkable. I have twice tasted a sample of the same tea with the same wrapping from the same source. The source is one of our trusted friends who we have been working with for over a decade.

PLEASE NOTE: I cannot guarantee the age of the tea cake and I have listed all of the information that I have about this tea plus pictures below. Please be advised that the cakes were pressed at a time when there were lower standards for making tea cakes and there may be some string/hair/threads pressed in the cakes. I realise that spending this amount of money on tea brings the expectation that it will be perfect pressings but please consider that, if the dating is correct, this tea was made in a very different time with very different approaches to tea processing. We will not accept any returns on the basis of these factors.
