Light, sweet, slightly earthy taste contrasted with a surprisingly full body. It was fun watching the seeds swell up. They absorbed about half of the water I infused them in!

This is one of our go-to herbs whenever someone is suffering from a cough, sore or dry throat and it is always in our cupboards. It is a Chinese Herb which is effective at moistening and clearing the throat and lungs and clearing any phlegm when you may have a cold or flu.

It is so crazy to watch the seed transform in hot water as it absorbs and extracts all its goodness. You can throw it into tea (but leave it in the hot water) or boil it on the stove. Combined with Chyrsanthemum and Honeysuckle it makes a winning cold and flu brew!

To brew, we recommend adding to soups or boiling water and allowing to simmer on the heat for at least 15 minutes.
