Holy moly this is a uniquely fruity Ripe PuErh that is going to be a future classic. We are loading up on these nugs because it has already become one of our weekly if not daily sippers.

Lao Cha Tou are the prized nuggets that naturally form during the ripening (fermenting) process to make Shou PuErh. The nugs are supposedly formed from extra mycelium and ultra juicy leaves sticking the tea together. They produce a very smooth liquor and seem to go on infusing forever.

This tea was initially purchased to be the follow-up to Nug Bake - our London roasted Lao Cha Tou. But, after tasting the tea on its arrival we were blown away by the remarkable fruity nature of this tea that we decided to change plans and release it without baking.

Nug Berry is the most fruity and creamy, easy drinking ripe tea that I can recall ever stocking at Mei Leaf and I would recommend it to everyone from seasoned Shou lovers to those dipping their toes into the world of ripe tea.
