So you have spent some of your hard earned money on the finest tea leaves out there but without storing them properly you risk degrading them from their peak condition.
The main storage issues affecting tea quality are:
- Humidity - please do not keep your teas in the cupboard above your kettle!
- Air - Greens, Yellows and Whites will lose their vibrant freshness if they are exposed to too much air.
- Light - Tea leaves prefer to live in the dark.
- Temperature - try to keep things cool for optimum freshness.
These tins are a perfect way to keep most teas. They are practically airtight and do not let in any light at all. They are stackable so that you can collect many teas but occupy a small space.
Please note that these tins do not include a lid which is sold separately. This way you can stack up as many tins as you like and put one lid on top.
