Very unique, sweet lemon zest and pancakes

A crafted Black tea from Kagoshima in Japan using a modern cultivar for the perfect balance of strength and aromatics. This tea is delicious and satisfying by itself while being designed for pairing with cakes and biscuits. Sweet, naturally milky, rich and aromatic with a soft mouthfeel and quenching texture.

We have been searching for a Japanese Black tea worthy of our selection for a number of years. The Japanese tea industry has been so fixed on making fabulous Greens that it has been a challenge to adapt to other tea types. Most of the Japanese Blacks that we have tried have had an unrefined, coarse quality, lacking finesse in taste and texture.

When we sampled this Kaori Black tea we knew that we had finally found a winner. This tea has been crafted from a hybrid cultivar (Yabukita x Inzatsu) designed to have sweet confectionary aromatics with a rich and satisfying body making it perfect for pairing with desserts. It reminds us of a more floral, milky and sweet Assam black tea and is the perfect brew for anyone wanting a rich and deep brew with added elegance.
