This video is a little cheeky and the shop owner was not too pleased about us filming in their shop but I wanted to show you from where the majority of tea packaging comes.
I have been asked many times to ID a tea from its packaging and usually the picture I am sent is of generic 'famous Chinese tea' pouches and labels (with very funny Chinglish). Practically all tea in China is packed in shop bought packaging shops like this one and they do not care if you buy a pouch declaring 'Wudong Dan Cong' when you are intending to fill it with some dodgy low altitude tea leaves.
The exception is PuErh which should be wrapped in customised, printed wrappers although there is a fair amount of fakery there too.
So, try not to judge a tea from the East by it's packaging - find suppliers that you trust and judge solely by the leaves. Oh and enjoy the Chinglish like this one:
