A feisty and potent Raw Gushu PuErh from the rich and diverse mountain area of Nan Nuo. This tea is made from tea trees estimated at over 300 years old, growing amongst a wide variety of other plants.
We travelled up to Nan Nuo in 2018 to meet a farmer and fell in love with his tea. Unfortunately, we had missed out on his Gushu because we arrived a few days later than someone who had already bought it all up. So in March 2019, we swooped in early to taste his Maocha (raw tea) and sure enough, it had that wonderful balance between rounded creamy notes and zesty top notes. So we snapped up the lot ourselves!

There is something about Nan Nuo. It has a very eclectic and diverse ecosystem with tea trees shaded and dwarfed by larger fruit trees and swaying bamboo. This canopy adds variation and flavour to the soil below and is picked up by the tea trees to produce really rich tea.
The Canopy Flasher is a fruity PuErh starting creamy (think banana and durian) and moving to zesty. It has a very strong physicality in the mouth and the effects are potent making it a contender for a more tea drunk session.
