Thick and oily! And although this is the earthiest of the Pu erhs I've tasted it's also surprisingly vegetal with deep notes of amaranth and beetroot greens. Almost perfect!

Pecan pastry, petrichor, macadamia, damp coastal wood a bit of star anis in the finish. Delightful and calming.

Soil and clay mixture, with some nuttiness. And lingering sweetness. Wood is also dominant with some bean water. Thick and oily tea with a lot of mouth coverage, soft.

Cave, wet soil, wet concrete, leather, beetroot and super sweet

Walnuts, soil, and a light undercurrent of cooked citrus. Subtle note of dried marjoram on the finish, which is long and minty fresh. Excellent!

Has a strong petrichor dry leaf and wet leaf smell to it while the taste has a mild petrichor note and mild sweetness. This is by far the long-lasting taste for a Shou Puerh that I had from Mei Leaf.

Very enjoyable tea. Earthy, mineral, nuttiness

Damp earth. Clay. Forest floor fungal. Some dry red beet notes. Some woody and light leather notes.

Pleasantly sweet moldy earth, nutty bitterness, similar to a well-rounded aged Shou

A stunningly beautiful aged tea, made of leaves picked in the year of my high school graduation. :-) Earthy, nutty, refined and settling. Highly recommended.

Sourdough, toasted rye break, baked nuts, soil with a chalky minerality

An excellent Ripened Pu-erh, dark, heavy, earthy. I describe it as drinking a cup of soil, and it is delicious. A Superb tea to warm up, it leaves a pleasant full feeling in the stomach.

Absolutely beautiful and the name is fitting! Very delicious and calming with its deep flavor profile. Very few liu bao teas are as good as this one.

Potato skin, mushrooms, wet soil and wet wood. A bit camphor, sweet and relaxing.

Carrot seed, ginseng, daikon broth, red kidney beans, fresh (raw) button mushrooms with residual camphor and hints of tobacco. Stunning brew with settling digestive and grounding qualities.

Nice damp soil, hazelnuts, dark chocolate, old wood and petrichor

Summer clothes-line cotton, cooked beets and liquorice. Thick and oily with a sweet nutty aftertaste.

Smooth, earthy and nutty
