Whenever we set up the cameras for a tasting we hope that we are going to love the tea as much as when we sourced it originally. Occasionally this doesn't happen but thankfully these situations are more and more unusual over fifteen years experience of tea sourcing.

But this session was a real surprise because this Monocle Boss PuErh was even more rich and nuanced than the tea which we tried at Christmas. I think that you can see the expression on my face as I am taken a little by surprise by the level of this tea.

Thankfully I am not alone with many PuErh heads claiming that this is the best PuErh they have ever tasted - there was some magic going on when they pressed these beauties.

Totally unique ripe PuErh made from the purple Zi Juan variety. Burnt brownies and chestnut puree warmth and a jujube and sour cranberries freshness.

Bai Hao Wulong - Dongfang Meiren

Terpene rich leafhopper bitten Oolong. Bright notes of elderflower, geranium and lychee and warmer notes of honey, rose and fermented overripe muscat grapes.
