Chinese Medicine in Motion: Discover BaDuanJin Qigong

What does opening the chest have to do with Lung Qi? Why are the Spleen and Stomach connected with digestion? And what exactly is “Heart Fire”?

Join us for a morning at the teahouse exploring BaDuanJin Qigong, the Eight Brocades, with AcuMedic’s Dr Elios Hon.

BaDuanJin is a centuries-old Qigong practice combining gentle movement, stretching, breathing and body awareness. Regular practice may support flexibility, balance, sleep and general wellbeing.

And it’s refreshingly simple to make part of everyday life:

  • 8 gentle movements
  • Around 15 minutes once you know the sequence
  • Very little space needed
  • No equipment required

Dr Hon will guide you through the complete sequence step by step, explaining the Chinese medicine thinking behind the movements as you practise, with time for questions throughout.

Tea is included, of course. Mei Leaf will serve a specially created blend alongside the practice.

After the session, there’s also an opportunity to chat one-to-one with an AcuMedic doctor, including traditional pulse and tongue diagnosis.

No previous experience needed. Just wear comfortable clothing and shoes you can move easily in.

Places are limited, so we can keep the group small and relaxed, with plenty of room to practise.
