Rose and Black tea is a classic pairing as the sweet rose aroma sits perfectly within the warmer aroma profiles of a black tea (I never understood rose and Green tea unless it is a very zesty rose variety).
The tea has been scented by combining with rose buds for an extende period and then ,as is traditional with Jasmine, the dried flowers have been mostly removed to leave you with a pure tea to brew.
Some people make this blend using a floral Black like a Keemun but we prefer using a more warming and chocolatey tea like this Fujian Gongfu Black. This produces a more luscious brew and has that delicious turkish delight satisfaction.
