The malt comes through very much so in the beginning, as it slowly fades to a gentle rose taste and a slight astringency. Smells like brownies with a certain vegetal bitterness.

Dark bread, light beer bitterness, coffee notes, also slight sweet and floral high notes in the finish.

Its opulent, sensual fragrance takes you to the rose gardens of the Middle East, and when tasting, the flavour of the rose cuts sharply through the beautiful floral, malty black tea. Liquid pleasure.

Rose and Black tea is a classic pairing as the sweet rose aroma sits perfectly within the warmer aroma profiles of a black tea (I never understood rose and Green tea unless it is a very zesty rose variety).

Some people make this blend using a floral Black like a Keemun but we prefer using a more warming and chocolatey tea like this Fujian Gongfu Black. This produces a more luscious brew and has that delicious turkish delight satisfaction.
