Rose Buds

Mei Gui Hua - Rosa chinensis

  • Rank

Fresh rose zestiness with a green apple taste.

We love to add these Rose buds to other teas to lend a zesty, sweet fragrance to the brew. The teas that rose blends best with tend to be on the darker end of the tea spectrum like Oolongs and Blacks because the sweetness of the Rose will fight against the freshness of lighter tea.

Rose petals have a cooling effect and can be used in tea to bring down heat from the body. Rose has a cleansing action and can help fight infection in the digestive tract and help re-establish the normal bacterial population of the intestines. Ros may enhance immunity, helping to restrain the development of infections through their cleansing action. In China, rose is ofte used as a drink to cleanse and brighten the skin and is blended with all sorts of other medicinal herbs.
