Oh how we love our 100ml Gaiwans. They are the mainstay of our teaware collection, perfect for solo and small sessions- big enough to brew for a few but small enough that you can brew solo without using a lot of leaves.
But most 100ml Gaiwans in our collection are classic white and it's nice to add a splash of colour.
Pink?
This pink glaze is the perfect shade - vintage and muted but still with enough pop to be noticed be everyone.
The Gaiwan is made in Dehua renowned for their white porcelain. and the inside is left white so that you can see your leaves and liquor accurately.
I love the shape of this Gaiwan. Straight line angles of a more stately base splay flamboyantly to a wide rim for smooth and cool-fingered pouring.
It is just one of those winning bits of teaware that will be in continuous rotation - function, beauty and a little playful pink pop!
