A tea boat or pot stand is used to proudly display your brewing pot or gaiwan while collecting water. This allows you to brew freely, rinse the tea leaves and pour hot water over the pot for even brewing.
The stand of this tea boat is not fixed to the base meaning that you can remove the stand and make a bowl which can be used for other purposes such as presenting tea or serving snacks.
The tea boat is suitable for small teaware of less than 120ml capacity. It is perfect for 100ml gaiwans or similar size pots. It can collect 80ml of water up to the stand and 200ml water up to the rim.
