This is the perfect Gaiwan to start Gaiwan brewing especially for Green tea. Because it is made out of glass it allows you watch the tea brew and the leaves soften and open.
Please be aware that this Gaiwan is suited to Green, White and small leaf Black tea because it is meant to be for brewing teas that require a lower water temperature. The glass releases heat fairly quickly ensuring that the teas do not extract too strongly. This Gaiwan is not for boiling water brewing as it becomes too hot to hold safely.
