Great refreshing and juicy PuErh. Peach and other stone fruits, jasmine and lemongrass. I can even taste some white matcha chocolate in the distance. Buzzing!

A unique blend of seven famous Yiwu villages to make a tea which tastes unlike any other Yiwu - preserved lemons, honey, pine resin and peach candy!

Yiwu is well known as the Queen of PuErh tea. It is an area which produces some of the most divine teas on Earth and is much sought after for its trademark sweet, syrupy and easy-drinking nectar.

But Yiwu is just a region - within this revered terroir, many mountain villages produce tea with their own character.

The tea producer has chosen to blend Seven famous villages in Yiwu (the list is below) to create an Yiwu extravaganza! But, surprisingly, this tea seems to be very different from the usual flavour notes we associate with Yiwu. It is somehow as if by blending many different villages in one area we have created a tea which represents a completely different and unknown area altogether - something new, unexpected and wonderful.

So, instead of the soft, smooth, floral sweetness that many people will associate with Yiwu, the tea has become more vibrant, bright and stimulating.

Intense fruity reductions like orange marmalade, peach candy and strawberry leathers combine brilliantly with medicinal honey, pine resin and preserved lemons. The experience is lively, bracing and fresh as much as it is deep, sweet and fruity.

The material used to make this tea is all estimated at Gushu at around 200 year-old trees and the extra age (2019 harvest) has given the leaves and buds a gorgeous antique metallic sheen.

The Cha Qi on this blend is no slouch either. It has a direct and impressive potency with a focussed and enlivening quality.

An Yiwu which somehow tastes very unlike any other Yiwu. A blend which has created an entirely new palette of PuErh joy.
