I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It's very light. Not at all what I expected considering the shade of the liquor.

Wonderfully crazy tisane with the most incredible colour and the 'magic' reaction when you add citrus!

Butterfly Pea Flower is all the rage at tea shops and bars because it has such a dramatic colour - an inky indigo blue. Adding a few flowers to your favourite tea, tisane or any drink will create a potion-like aesthetic to wow your guests.

If you add a few drops of citrus then the blue turns into a purple pink before your eyes - it is a fun little trick which appeals to the senses.

But what does it taste like?

Butterfly Pea Flower has a light and sweet quality reminiscent of starchy corn sweetness and some honeycomb candy.

It is refreshing and simple on its own (I particularly like it iced) and the taste is subtle enough to allow other flavours to shine in mixed drinks.

It is definitely worth having a pouch of these flowers in your collection to add that magic touch to your tea and drink offerings.
