Very umami! Toasted rice and matcha

    Recommends this tea

Sometimes I want the sweet savoury hit of a Matcha but slightly toned down in a more easy drinking brew. Whenever I am in this mood I grab a cup of this tea which pairs the classic puffed rice warmth of a Genmaicha with a generous dusting of ceremonial grade Matcha.

This gives a first cup of bright and vegetal matcha with the warm beginnings of a popcorn tea. With every brew the brightness of the Matcha fades to be replaced with the toasty comfort of a high grade Genmaicha.

DO NOT RINSE this tea as you will throw away all of the Matcha!

Watch as my sister tries this tea and how it pairs with Dark Chocolate (skip to 2:45 for this tea).
