Liquorice root is a famous Chinese medicinal herb that can be used to add natural sweetness to any drink.

Liquorice is a MAO inhibitor and contains Glycyrrhizic acid for normal function of the adrenal glands. This gives Liquorice mood enhancing and stress relieving benefits. It has a whole host of other purported health benefits and in Chinese Medicine it is commonly used to relieve wheezing, coughs and asthma.

To brew, we recommend adding to boiling water (with other herbs if you wish) and allowing to simmer on the heat for at least 15 minutes.
