A glorious PuErh balancing sweet, velvety and indulgent Yiwu luxury with potent, physical and drunken character.

This Gushu Sheng PuErh was produced from fine pickings of estimated 200-300 year old tea trees growing in the forests of Gao Shan village in Yiwu. It is made by the same family who produced Nectar Raider and Shimmer Bliss Roady and is (in my opinion) their best batch of the bunch. You can watch us visiting these farmers:

We intentionally held this tea back from release by about 9 months because I felt that tea would benefit from some time for the 'greenness' of the tea to dissipate. This has allowed the rich, sweet character of the tea to shine through beautifully.

This Yiwu has a magical balance. On the one hand, it is all that you would want from the 'Queen of PuErh' - full of confection and floral sweetness with a thick mouthfeel. On the other hand, it has a distinct mineral depth with satisfying, tingly physicality the tongue and a potent body sensation.

A masterful Sheng which would be a prized addition to any tea collection.
