Sometimes the more modest and unpretentious styles captivate attention the most and this pot just spoke to me when I saw it.
We have called it the Monk's pot because I feel that this design is perfection in simplicity and function with a sturdy balance.
It still has a beautifully personified silhouette with a handle mimicking a hand on the waist just waiting to be poured.
The clay is Yixing Wenge Zini, which is an old cultural revolution era clay recipe of purple clay.
This is a half-handmade pot, meaning it is made by hand with the use of shaping moulds. Fully handmade means that it is entirely made from clay without any shape template moulds.
