My most used tea ware. It seals very good and therefore the lid can be adjusted very narrow or very wide. As needed. The lid never slips. Can be gripped easily and securely. Best in class.

Striking yet elegant Gawian hand-crafted in the world famous city of Jingdezhen.

We try a lot of Gaiwans and there is just something intangible that makes a great Gaiwan stand out from the others - the balance, the feel, the pour, the silhouette and the aesthetics just come together to make this Gaiwan a piece that you will always reach for.

Made in the world capital of finest porcelain, this Jingdezhen Gaiwan is pure white on the inside and has a Song Dynasty glaze on the outside. Rich in iron, this glaze has a pearlescent quality which reflects an irridescent light which is hard to capture on pictures. It just shouts quality and finesse in a beautifully understated way - isn't that the epitome of true tea?

This cup matches our Purple Iron Glaze Cup.
