Perhaps the perfect glass teapot?
Every home needs a teapot of this size - the perfect capacity for brewing solo or small groups in a western style but small enough so that you can jam in a load of leaves and brew Gong Fu for a larger group of friends.
We have been buying 500ml glass teapots for 20 years but I have never been fully happy.
There have always been littel gripes like the capacity being too small or too big or the handling feeling unbalanced or the lid always falling off when pouring at steep angles.
So we drew our perfect design and searched for glassware companies to make them for us.
Firstly we needed the perfect capacity - 500ml is too big and 400 is too small but 450ml is the sweet spot for hybrid western and Gong Fu versatility
Secondly we needed an all-glass brew with a removable filter.
Thirdly, the pot had to have good balance when pouring.
Then there was the issue of the lid falling off. I dislike tying strings between the pot and handle and wanted the lid protection to be built into the design. This double arc is perfect to keep things secure and looks pretty cool too.
So here it is, unassuming and simple at first glance but I reckon we have reached pot perfection!
