A Kusenaoshi is a beautiful teaware accessory designed to maintain the optimal shape of your Matcha whisk (Chasen).
This Kusenaoshi has a lovely sand and desert design.
Regular use will ensure that your whisk tines maintain a good curved shape for maximum frothing of your beloved Matcha.
Simply soak your Chasen whisk for several seconds in warm water and then place firmly over the Kusenaoshi.
Leave the whisk to reshape for a few minutes and then remove the whisk and dry it upside down (tines up).
These Kusenaoshi are often sold as Chasen whisk holders.
You can certainly use them to store the whisk but please do so in a ventilated area because a wet whisk will dry slower on a Kusenaoshi so there is a small risk of mould developing on the tines.
