In Chinese Medicine it is used to tonify the blood for those who are pale or have dry and brittle hair and nails. It is commonly prescribed for women who suffer from irregular or painful periods although it can be used for a variety of conditions such as constipation, swelling and blood stagnation.
To brew, we recommend adding to soups or boiling water and allowing to simmer on the heat for at least 15 minutes.
